Refund & Cancellation Policy

All ebooks, code repositories, and digital content sold on CodeYug (https://codeyugacademy.com) are classified as non-tangible, irrevocable digital products. Because instant digital access and online reader licenses are granted immediately upon successful payment confirmation, all sales are final, non-refundable, and non-cancellable.
1. Nature of Digital Goods
In accordance with standard industry practices and applicable provisions of the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and the Indian Contract Act, 1872, digital products cannot be returned once delivered.
Before purchasing, customers are provided with comprehensive book overviews, detailed tables of contents, page counts, author profiles, and interactive browser preview samples to make an informed purchasing decision.
2. Sole Exception: Duplicate Accidental Charges
The only circumstance under which a refund will be evaluated is an unintended duplicate payment:
- You were charged multiple times for the exact same book title within a 24-hour window due to a payment gateway timeout or network anomaly.
- You notify our billing desk within 48 hours of the duplicate transaction with valid Razorpay payment IDs or bank statements.
Upon verification that multiple transactions occurred for one book license on the same account, the duplicate charge will be reversed to the original payment method within 5–7 business days via Razorpay.
3. Chargebacks and Fraudulent Disputes
Filing an unauthorized chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or credit card company after gaining access to the digital book violates our Terms & Conditions.
If a fraudulent chargeback is initiated, CodeYug reserves the right to:
- Immediately terminate and permanently ban the associated user account and library access.
- Submit comprehensive digital audit logs (including timestamps, Clerk account metadata, IP logs, and Razorpay HMAC signature confirmations) to the payment processor and credit bureaus.
- Pursue legal remedies under Section 420 and Section 406 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) / Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for criminal breach of trust.
4. Billing Inquiries & Support
If you encounter any technical difficulty accessing your purchased book in the reader, please contact our support team immediately. We are committed to ensuring you receive complete access to the content you purchased.
